I wonder so often why our culture rejects sadness and thereby bars the way towards the soul. Surely we don’t want to get stuck in sadness only but suffering increases when grief is denied or blocked. I suffered unresolved grief for so long, I am sure it led to my cancer as well as repressed anger over invalidation. I wanted to share this from Marianne Williamson on the necessity of grief and grieving. So many get scared or go ballistic if we cry, if so it is on them and NOT US. HAD A FUCKING GUTFULL OF IT LATELY REALLY!!
I have come to trust the process of grief in my life and in the lives of others I’ve known. Suppressed tears are more dangerous than those that fall. Tears we cry can heal us, and tears we don’t cry can hurt us. Among other things, denying ourselves permission to feel our sadness can desensitize us to the pain of others. And that is never a good thing. A period of mourning – with all is wailing, its tears, and its suffering – isn’t necessarily the sign of a problem. Its simply the sign of love.
because there are, so many taboos being placed on the negative emotions, sadness, anger, etc., etc., etc., and we are, often socialized around the values that negative emotions shouldn’t be experienced at all, that’s why, there’s, these emotions are often, ostracized by the cultures of the world, when the truth of it all it, we all have the rights to our own sorrows, sadness, anger, etc., etc., etc., not just the positives of our emotions, such as happiness, joy, etc., etc., etc., and until we can, full accept and embrace our own emotions the negatives and the positives, we will, never be able to, become who we’re, supposed to be in our lives!

Normal People are not allowed to be sad. It’s just not the thing to be done. It’s ok if you are a celebrity as it newsworthy.
