Who is really to blame

My soul found peace with you for a while

Until the tears came

Falling down like rain

When the promises you made

Failed

To materialise

And God knows in life

Not everything goes according

To the expectations of our plan

But for just how long

Do we keep holding on

You say you are trapped

I took the burden on

And wonder why

If it was only this state of

Soul to soul reflection

And if possibly God had another plan

To unite my soul with the soul of someone

Free to laugh and smile

Not bound down by the heavy occupation

They chose to yoke themselves to

So don’t tell me

I need to pray for forgiveness to God

For saying I am sorry

I cannot do this any more

Despite the guilt

Even though time after time

I said a no you didn’t respect

For who is really to blame?
