You cannot love someone
You cannot trust
You said
And so.our dreams
Have turned to dust
Fearful voices surrounded us
Savage guardians of grief
Blocking all the doorways
And how my heart contracts with this
Realisation
Just as in the Handless Maiden’s Tale
The devil mixed the messages
All up
Separating me from open hearted trust
So now it is I must
Let go
Of all that can not be changed
To find the peace that only comes
When past mistakes
Are fully laid
To rest
With the knowing
We did our level best
But in the end
So sadly
Our connection failed
Emerging From The Dark Night 
Yes, I’ve had a couple of failed connections…. and I felt that trust dwindling…. your words describe those fading feelings, sadly, but eloquently…. your poem resonates insightfully Deb xxx

Thanks Ivor actually I dont think our connection will end its too strong but being together in real time isnt going to happen. Lifes not easy but its all good. Hope you had a lovely Sunday.

Yes I’ve had a few connection failed and never resumed. It’s harder when you don’t really understand why.

Yes that would hurt more..its much harder when breaks cannot be resolved or talked about.
