I’m on a bit of an Elton John roll this week after watching Rocketman and EJ got sober in 1990 just three years before me. Its good for those of us sobriety when people in the public spot light open up about their struggles in a real and honest way. I am a little late in posting this link as EJ celebrated 29 years on 29th July, this link contains a short video chat with Variety magazine.. I have a real soft spot for Sir Elton and several of his songs always make me cry. My High Flying Bird was playing on my Dad’s 8 track when we spun out on the mountain before he died and came very close to going over the edge. Elton John’s music and lyrics will always be part of the tapestry of my own experiences and memories and its always inspiring when someone turns their life around and becomes a voice for love.
