Invisible synchronicity

You never ask of me

To love you

You only love

And at times my darling

That breaks my heart

For so often in life

There has seemed to be

All around me

Only this utter vacancy

And inside my soul

I was so desperately hungry

Now things have changed

And I have the capacity to endure

The desert

And find the love where I can

From deep within

An underground spring

But never the less

I do cry

When you speak to me these words of love

And I am not sure why

But it is only that

Your soul has touched this very tender part of me

And yet I wrestle still with what you ask

For I know that sometimes

Love is best when it comes from afar

And I am not sure if

I can bear the fear

Of being swallowed up

And so

If I remain

Silent

Please do not mistake

This lack of speech

For indifference

Because deep within

The underground spring

I feel the love of our two souls

Merging

As our hearts beat out their rhythm
