Ground

I fell to the ground

With such pain all around

It was hard to stay upright any more

And everything bled

But the ground shows me mercy

It holds me in my pain

It is hard when things get

So twisted around

Where is there peace to found

Anymore but in silence

Jasper sat by my side

As I cried and cried and cried

Apparently to feel this much

Is a sign of illness

Not a sign of what humans do

When they fail to understand

But when old wounds are lanced

It can be hard to find peace

And even though I send you maitri

I struggle to understand

How this all got turned around

Into an attack on ‘reputation’

Instead of being understood in truth

But what can I do

Its gone too far now

The only things left

Is to go to ground

Because right now

The only peace

Or wisdom to be found

Lays in silence
