As my heart is beating

In time to the rhythm

That my soul

Always longed to follow

But felt barricaded from before

Now I feel the shackles falling away

Restrictions melt

Of those inner and outer forces that said

You cannot and do not and won’t

For isn’t it about time

That I allowed this life force

To just flow through me

No more standing in the way

No more shame of feeling

I will never be enough

No more believing

That this world is unsafe

For isn’t it time to embrace

And live in harmony with

The essence of life

And of love

That is flowing

Through everything
