Pass on by

Sometimes we set our sights

Upon things that are just not meant for us

At times like these

Its hard not to make a fuss

Or feel we are being brought our knees

When those we wish to stay by our side

Just decide to leave or pass on by

Why struggle so hard with the letting go

For we never really know

What new experience or friendship awaits

Just around the corner

And we may never find the way

Towards the newer path

If we do not choose to leave behind

The other one

That was never really meant to last
