Who knows the truth of things
Is it only our belief
That makes a thought seem true ?
For there are a thousand opinions out there
About the world and ways of being
And we can only see things
From a particular point of view
Informed by so many impressions
And is it ever wrong
Just to indulge in wild imaginings
To allow our selves to dream of bliss
Of how it might be
To feel the joy of a lover’s passionate kiss
When nights of silent suffering solitude
Are all we have known for years
And even if none of these imagining are real
Did we not just use our minds
As God intended
As refuge sanctuary or healing vessel
To lessen further pain
And even as we pretended
Things were not as painful as they seemed
With time
Did not feeling just flood the banks
Dissolving older ways we believed in
That now reveal themselves to be superseded
As retreating tides receded
Leaving a landscape fundamentally changed
Or obliterated
Love this deb! Great work! lovely job 😀

Aww thanks it just flew off the cuff of my thought processes after being involved in an online discussion where people were sharing their different beliefs. Really appreciate the feedback. ❤
