Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius square to Neptune : Lua Astrology

Below is a video and brief notes as a synopsis for those interested in the current Mercry retrograde from Leah Whitehorse of Lua Astrology.

A time of thinking about intense issues began when Mercury conjuncted Jupiter at the end of October and that is when the Mercury shadow period began. It will go direct at this degree on 6 December.

What are my motivations. goals and ways of acting, how effectively am I asserting myself :  Am I doing the right thing?  This was the focus of the Mars Retrograde period of July August)

Re-evalation of self esteem and relationships, how are we relating and valuing ourselves (This was the focus of the Venus retrograde period just ended which began in early October.)  We had to dig deep to get to the heart of the matter (as Venus transited Scorpio) and examine our relationships and mirrors and shadow (when Venus backtracked into Libra over the past few weeks where it turned direct a few days ago).

Issues of Upcoming Mercury Retrograde :  Complex questions, shadowy issues (Mercury coming out of Scorpio moved into Sagittarius but it will backtrack to Scorpio towards the final week)

The complex factor of not knowing and questioning our meaning and values.  How and why are we building, envisioning, dreaming : The Great Sphinx…. evocative of Sag mind expanding energy takes us beyond what we know asks huge questions.

Need for answers but they probably wont be forthcoming or known.  Mercury square Neptune (loose tongues, poor boundaries around communication.  Opening up too much, being more mindful about communicating.)

Mercury square Neptune is a distracting energy  7 – 25 then 25 to 28 December.  Wandering minds.  Speculation.  Visions.  Watch your dreams.  Flights of fantasy.

Mercury in Sagittarius What is the big picture of our lives all about? Where are we placing our faith?  Mercury in Sag is adventurous, focusing on the big picture but we may forget to focus on the details, get lost, lose sight of the common place every day.  Getting too caught up in visions, lack of decisiveness, irritability (Mercury square Mars 26th November :  passive aggressive + Sun conjunct Jupiter : self righteousness, guard the need to believe we are right. )

Needing an answer with someone who is not forthcoming.  Misunderstandings  Nebulousness.Tendency to get lost in the FOG?

Antidote Saturn in Capricorn :  Stay grounded.  Practical responsibilities.

Other issues and contemplations :  What do we believe in?  Where do you feel your spiritual connection?  Spiritual poetry.  Concern with those who are lost and forgotten (Neptune) talk to the homeless.  The defeated.  Charity work.  Seeking merging connecting with your spirit in nature and meditation.  Versus the tendency to get lost in  dreamland. Watch and record your dreams though.  During Mercury retrograde they have spiritual messages.
