An excellent post on the pitfalls of forgiveness. I love the idea that the real forgiveness needs to be for ourselves since trauma sufferers so often are taught to blame themselves which makes true healing impossible.
For 20 years, I’ve received a ton of battering regarding the Forgiveness issue. Even the most well meaning, heartful folks cut me deeper than they’ll ever know.
