Once again our plans to meet

Have been reduced to dust

Banks that want to charge

For freeing money freely sent

Break our hearts again

Reminding me how this killing culture

So often blocks relationship and love

And now your heart is in pain again

As it looks as though we may not meet

For months and months

I am so sorry my love

I long to hold your hand

And see your face

But I also know

That as much as it hurts

I have to keep nurturing faith

Does a love die

Just because forces of society

Seem to be conspiring against us

We say we are cursed

But these kind of beliefs

Won’t help the pain

Only make it deeper

So tonight I said to you

Please be kind to your heart

For a heart that is hurting

Doesn’t need more pain

It needs tenderness and softness
