
The following quote is not my writing. It comes from Tian Dayton’s daily reader Meditations for Forgiving and Moving On. It really spoke to me today.
Today I will allow whatever is flowing through me to flow.
I will move aside my agenda of who I think I should be and be where I am. I will create an atmosphere within me of self acceptance, not attempting to line myself up in particular direction, but observing how I do line up.
I do not need to control myself on the inside today.
When I watch rather than tangle with my thoughts I lessen my reactivity. I might spent hours, even days resisting, thinking or feeling a certain way while, if I just accepted whatever it is that I am resisting and allowed myself to feel it fully, it would probably pass through me in a matter of minutes and I would be free of it.
I will process and be with what is already there.
