The benevolence of your gaze
Falls upon my soul as a balm
Within your eyes
Which are pools of softness
Absorbing me deep inside
I swim
And find depths of myself
That ached so much to be known
Where as others do not see me
Or look to one side
At times it seems your gaze exists solely
For the purpose of knowing me
Is there anything on earth as healing
As being truly beheld by another
And finding in their gaze
A place to call home
And discover one’s truest self
So fully and completely seen?
