In bonour of today’s Leo Moon and Mercury I just thought I’d reblog this poem from 2016.
Set the lion free
From his entrapment here
Amongst prison walls
Of a castle barricaded in fear
Where knights weep
For loss of love
Passion
Joy
Creativity
Fire
These regal beasts dont belong here
In chains
Their feral roar must be sound out
And the chained heart be freed
From entrapment in the false
The lion must only live his truth
Lionhearted
And the caged beast within every heart driven deep
Must rise again like fire
And burn burn burn
With golden flames
Within which our true souls dance
To know
To live
To love
To free
Our hearts true fire
We must burn clear
And leave this nest of Scorpions
Emerging From The Dark Night 
This is beautiful and so very true. There is indeed a beast inside every heart, privy to the darkness yet strong when given light with which to burn clear.

This is so lovely. I have a question unrelated to this post as well… What breed of dog is Jasper? The few photo’s I’ve seen of him, I thought he’s absolutely gorgeous.
