There is nothing like the searing pain of love

Of finding and possibly losing your soul mate

The one sent from above

Who shows you darknesses you have hidden before

Leaving you washed up on an alien shore

Where the memory of their sweetness

Lingers haunting you all the rest of your days

Love is a fire

And within its flames you must willingly burn

Submitting to all that needs to be surrendered

So that only love remains
