The time will come when we will triumph
Over this adversity
There are days we feel we are defeated
By all the pain and loss and challenges life brings
But I do believe
If we can open our hearts
And even let ourselves collapse to our knees
Surrendering what now seems so unbearable
Reaching within and
Praying beyond for assistance
From a larger hand
Then in time
The universe will support us
And even though
Our old skin may be stripped away
Leaving us tender, raw and weak
In time new layers will grow
God knows it’s hard to trust the working out of the way
To know the painful truth that people and situations and things
We depend upon and love can be taken away
But there is a healing that occurs
In surrendering to and moving through the loss
And allowing it to reshape us anew
In opening our being
To the force of change
That wants to move through us
And rearrange
Our being and
Life and destiny
In all of those mysterious ways
Our limited mind and thought
Could never fully project
Dream
Or imagine
Emerging From The Dark Night
