Unravel me
Untie the laces that brace the corsetted artificility
That I was taught to wear
To hold captive inside
This deep earthy person of longing and desire
Who knew the truth in silence
And felt the kiss of soft breeze upon flesh
As the sweetest gift of all
Undo the ribbons from my hair and let it fall
Cascading down my shoulders
And in your imagery of these tresses
Paint the creatures trapped inside
Who find themselves
Flying free
Down that flood waterfall
Released
Into the clear light of air
And fire
Inside my mind
Let the new dawn break
After nights of storms
Let me remember
That this body holds the keys to secrets
Trapped too long inside
And the only way to freedom now lies
In submission to
This journey of unravelling
Ethereal and beautifully written. Accept who we are and let the colours of our souls unravel, with them all the positive and negative energies.
