Those who have never travelled that deep
Will ever understand the scars you bore
Will think that these are just wounds on flesh
Rather than experiences that cut you to the bone
So when they hand out their ‘advice’
You had better think twice
Before you absorb the pain
Their shallow stance ignites
In you
For those who souls suffer so deep in this world
Are not the ones that are insane
In bearing wounds
That are just an indictment
Of how far we have strayed
From nature and nurture and beauty
In a world were so much of what really destroys
Is considered urbane
Who would see it as a sign of anything worth hoping for
To have lived through such a shattering
And not been almost utterly destroyed?
