Light bringer

You went to such a dark place

On this journey

But what I see so clearly now is this

That if you had no real idea of what true love really is

You never would have struggled so

With the lack of it

And gone to such a dark place

And in that dark place

Through your suffering

You remembered a lost truth

That the light of love and life does shine within

Our souls

And it is only through the struggle with its loss

That we find the power to bring

New birth to it

Even if that happens

Through hurt, sorrow and pain
