Home is this place

I feel contained inside my skin

With all the feelings thoughts and awareness

That arise from within

Home is a place I trust my feeling

Is the place I can return to

When the world sends me reeling

Back to my core reality and away from artifice

Used to be

There was no home in this body

Which was just a fear filled place

Full of symptoms of pain

That I had to run from

An agonising refrain

That was impossible to open my tender heart and mind and soul to

But now that home is a place deep within

It feels so special

Here inside my skin

As I begin to realise the joy of a life embodied

With all its trials and tribulations

Gifts and blessings

Just waiting to be known

On this earth

Awake in my soul

Feeling myself
