Night time dreaming
Enfold me in the velvety softness
Of your deep indigo silence
Fading away those harsh sounds of
Daytime living
In a world so flung so far away
From your mystery
Draw close to me in the quiet time
When night time
Appears
And then reveals to me
That soft tender comfort that comes
From enclosing
And folding in upon myself
Spiraling down with sleep
To that place within
Where deeper truths and dreams abide
Covered over with the mind
NIght time dreaming
I open my soul to receive you
As my eyelids close
Curtains
Falling across consciousness
Which so often seems doomed
To perpetuate so much separation and pain
Surrendered to this dreaming
And in the leaving
Of this surface where we live
Not always fully alive
But so often only as
Frightened sleepwalkers
