Whirlwind

Like a whirlwind you blew through

Overcoming me with the force of your power

A mouth that doesnt stop talking and gives opinions freely

I just watch how I feel

As though my own reality could so easily be subsumed

Or swept away

Drowned at the bottom of an ocean

Tears fall as my soul registers a loss

I could not prevent by sheer force of will

Your power disarms me because I feel that mine is less

But my power is of a different kind

So now in the aftermath

I just hold onto my heart

As I reclaim my breath

And struggle to make sense of
