To give in to the full weight of your trauma and tragedy

Means to sink like a stone

To the bottom of an ocean

Healing involves finding ways to bear

And release the weight of water

And ways to rise again

To glimpse the light once so obscured

By a heavy blanket of darkness

To find hope within

Even in that darkness.

In the dark with you I will hold your hand Until tears come To release the pressure So you can breathe again.

I will not abandon you in those darkest moments When truths are glimpsed that are so difficult to bear.  I will be strong with you to face this And not allow you to be crushed under the full weight of self blame.

In the silence I will whisper words of love to you incantations of power to help your wounded soul to heal and rise again

I will say to your spirit

Be free

Don’t hold on too tight

Let go

Find love, for it is here when together we are held and met in the full reality of now, united by fully engaged presence.
