When you were gone
Emptiness filled my days and nights
Where you lived
Only a vacant space
Filled with memories of sunshine you brought
To warm this coldest of nights
You were passion and fire
To the places where ice water froze
From too many years of being dammed
But my love it had to be this way
None one can live from the heat of another’s sun
We must find our own deep inside
Even if hidden under layers of hurt and pain
Fear and shame
We are not here
To bask solely in another’s light
And perhaps they came
As reminders
Of all that we lost the way to
And maybe the pain of that vacancy
Was necessary
For us to learn how
To kindle our own spark
And light our own flame
From within

such a beautiful piece of writing hun xoxo
