Where will the next wave come from
As I stand here alone on shifting sands
Trying to hold my centre
To send my energy down to the core of earth
Beneath the ocean shore
To something stable
That can hold when the next current surges
From who knows what direction
I am the fulcrum
And
I am trying to find the centre of the wheel
Of my individual heart and soul
Amidst this ocean of other cells other beings
All with individual feelings
And thoughts
Inflowing
Outflowing
From two miles away
I sensed you falling
As I fell
No one could know what you have been asked to carry
And buckled under the weight of
Too often we do not see the fundamental truth
Until it is too late
Now my eyes weep and yet there is a dryness too
We did the best we could
As the waves came
And what will be left after the next deluge
Is a heart that stood
As strong as it could at the centre
Before grief and powerless inundated it again
To reveal a deeper truth and realisation
Our mind struggled
To understand
