And then I bled My body saying all those truths It was too hard to name
Suffering, suffering Asking, please Can’t you soothe this aching
And the letting Of my life’s blood?
Heart you are, such A tender organ That works so hard
Pumping, pumping Supplying blood to every cell
And when the heart is hurting, hated or contracted What happens to us?
In such a barren place Like a withered flower we close our petals And collapse
After the final spear is aimed And then drop upon drop of blood falls To stony ground
Tender heart At times so full of dread Informed by a mind fixed on trauma You need so much more from us
Tenderness, gentleness soothing
Heart may we let you be The focus of all our meditation
Allow us please to see Life beyond what hurt and almost killed or crippled us
Because buried so far beneath this weight
So longed for Yet so feared
Is a tender heart Still longing Still aching
To love and be loved
Yes! … this was beautiful!

The heart is so very tender…wondering what it will feel like when it no longer aches

Me too. There are such deep sadnesses that forever mark and change the temper of our soul in fundamental ways. I think we loose sight of this in our modern superficial world.

Its up to you how much work you want to put into it. I have found that the longer you have your blog the more work there is keeping up with comments and feedback. As far as tips go, I just used my own guidance as to themes and images. You need to write from your heart something that means a lot to you and that others can connect to, if you can do that then your blog will be a success. Good luck. Deborah
